Community-engaged research involves university and community members working collaboratively to conduct research for 鈥渢he purpose of solving a pressing community problem or effecting social change鈥 (Community-Based Research and Higher Education, Strand et al., 2004, p.3).

CEnR in Watermark Faculty Success
Faculty Success allows faculty to identify research and creative activity artifacts
as 鈥渃ommunity-engaged.鈥 To indicate a work is CEnR, check the box for 鈥淚s this work
the product of a community-engaged research process?鈥 There is also a help question
mark symbol to define community-engaged research.
Funding and Support for CEnR
CCE offers funding to support CEnR (for faculty and students), suggests faculty or community collaborators,
