Bio

My lab uses social insects as models to study cooperative physiological adaptations to environmental stressors. We are interested in how individual behaviors and physiologies scale to group strategies, and the adaptiveness of these strategies in different complex environments. Our lab has particular interest in how this relates to thermal macrophysiology (variation in form and function over geographic space), and group-on-group competition in highly social species.
